Joliet Man Meets Dangerousness Standard, 'Said He Would Rape The Officer's Granddaughter'
Joliet police arrested Adomarko Sneed on charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic batter, resisting a peace officer and more.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department responds to a lot of criminal activity at the apartments off Larkin Avenue on Bellarmine Drive. The most recent arrest involved Adomarko Sneed, who is now being detained under the SAFE-T-Act. Sneed faces charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, interfering with the reporting and resisting a peace officer.
Will County Judge Derek Ewanic made the decision to impose the dangerous standard against Sneed, who has remained in the county jail since Oct. 11.
According to the prosecution's successful petition to deny pretrial release for Sneed, on Oct. 11, Joliet police responded to one of the apartment buildings in the 500 block of Bellarmine for a female being choked. The woman relayed that her husband was upset about believing she was cheating on him, court files show.

Sneed then choked the woman and took her phone, court files indicate. The choking was witnessed by an adult daughter. As for Sneed, he made a run for it, and took her phone, court files show. Once the Joliet police found him, Officer Shaunza Mitchell ordered him to stop but had to chase him down to stop him. When Sneed was arrested, he had the victim's cell phone, prosecutors pointed out.
In the end, the woman did not need medical attention, however, Sneed "threatened the arresting officer with being popped or shot and then said he would rape the officer's granddaughter," prosecutors revealed.
