Joliet Man Sexually Assaulted, Abused Girl 4 Years Ago on Farm: Police

A 25-year-old Joliet man was arrested Wednesday on several counts of criminal sexual assault and sexual abuse.

Ramon Flores, of Joliet, was charged with 14 counts of criminal sexual assault and 11 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from multiple incidents that occurred four years ago at a farm in the 13000 block of McKanna Road in the Kendall County section of unincorporated Minooka.

Police took a report Feb. 7 from a female juvenile regarding the alleged incidents. Officers began an investigation and charged Flores Feb. 26. He was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force March 2.

A judge set his bail at 10 percent of $2 million.

Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis said in a release that he commends the law enforcement agencies for apprehending Flores quickly after the juvenile came forward.

“Cooperation between law enforcement agencies, like in this case, is vital to ensuring that wanted fugitives are taken off our street,” Weis said
