Joliet Man Stabbed After Attacking Teenage Boy In His House: JPD
Sunday afternoon's domestic disturbance happened in the 8600 block of Foxborough Way, that's the Kendall County portion of Joliet.

JOLIEt, IL — A 37-year-old Joliet man is now in the Kendall County Jail after Joliet police say Steven Terrell Rogers hit a 16-year-old boy in the throat and the head, prompting the boy to stab Rogers with a knife in his arm. The incident happened Sunday afternoon in the 8600 block of Foxborough Way, that's the Kendall County portion of Joliet in the Plainfield area.
A Joliet Fire Department ambulance took Rogers from his house on Foxborough Way to St. Joe's hospital. Upon his release, Joliet police drove him to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, where he faces domestic battery charges.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events led to Rogers' arrest:

- Upon arrival at the house on Foxborough Way, Joliet police determined that Rogers had attacked a 16-year-old boy. During an argument inside the house involving Rogers and a woman, Rogers struck the boy in the throat when the teenager tried to intervene during the argument.
- The juvenile then struck Rogers with a wooden box and ran into his bedroom and closed the door.
- Rogers entered the room by force and struck the boy in the head.
- The juvenile then stabbed Rogers with a knife in the arm. The 16-year-old boy involved in stabbing Rogers was not taken into custody, the Joliet Police Department press release indicates.
Kendall County Jail records indicate Rogers remained in custody on Monday, unable to post 10 percent of his $10,000 bail.
