Joliet Police Saw Man Punching Woman Through Front Window On Terrence Ferry Drive: Prosecutors
The woman declined medical attention at the scene, according to the Joliet Police Department.

JOLIET, IL —A 25-year-old Joliet man who was arrested over the weekend remains in the Will County Jail following his Joliet police arrest in connection with domestic battery charges following an incident inside his home on the city's west side, which is near the frontage road along Interstate 55.
The Will County State's Attorney's Office filed a petition to deny pretrial release for Dylan Troche, who previously lived in Darien, according to an unrelated 2025 criminal traffic case he resolved at the Will County Courthouse last year.
In the latest incident, Joliet police responded to Troche's house in the 3900 block of Terrence Ferry Drive for a domestic problem on Saturday around 8:201 p.m. The officers saw Troche inside the front window of his house and he was punching his female victim while she was down on the floor, court files show.

Joliet police tried to gain entry inside the house, but they could not get inside. As it turned out, Troche refused to open the door, prosecutors noted.
Meanwhile, the officers saw Troche grab the woman and take her out of their vision. Eventually, Joliet police made phone contact with Troche as he refused to come out or let them inside. In the end, both Troche and the female victim "said nothing happened over the phone and they were not coming out," prosecutors informed Will County Judge Brian Barrett.

Once Troche's uncle showed up on the scene, both Troche and his victim emerged from the house, court documents show. The woman "had a puffy eye that was consistent with being struck," prosecutors revealed. "She denied being struck again and denied needing medical attention. The initial caller sent a video with the call of the defendant kicking (the victim). The caller was outside with her children when she saw the defendant kicking (the woman) and took a video of it."
Judge Barrett agreed to keep Troche in the Will County Jail under the SAFE-T-Act. Unrelated, Joliet Patch found out that Troche was ticketed by the Illinois State Police at 1:55 a.m. on Feb. 3, 2025, for driving 108 mph in a 55-mph zone along northbound Interstate 55 near Interstate 355. It was a clear night and there were wet conditions, the Illinois State Police complaint noted.
Last August, Troche pleaded guilty at the Will County Courthouse to a reduced speeding ticket of going 21 to 25 mph over the speed limit. Troche completed 50 hours of community service and he received $400 in fines. He was sentenced to 12 months of court supervision and required to attend traffic safety school as part of his sentence.
