Joliet Man Wanted For Allegedly Planning to Torch Catholic Charities Apartment
The Joliet man damaged the apartment Friday, according to a criminal complaint.
A Joliet man allegedly planned to torch a Catholic Charities apartment.
Denzil Lawrence, 38, of 402 Siegmund St. was charged with possession of an explosive or incendiary device, and with criminal damage to property.
Lawrence remains at large. The warrant for his arrest carries a $500,000 bond.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court, Lawrence “knowingly possessed (a) detonating device for use with an explosive compound or incendiary device, with the intent to … commit arson.” Lawrence also damaged the Catholic Charities apartment, the complaint said. The charges stem from an alleged Friday incident.
