Joliet Man Who Crashed Into Squad Car Gets Bail Lowered: Judge
In 2021, Joliet's Angel Casillas crashed into Illinois State Police Trooper Brian Frank on Interstate 55 near Route 30, police said.

JOLIET, IL — Two days after Joliet Patch broke the news regarding the filing of criminal charges against Angel Casillas, bail for the 21-year-old was lowered from $250,000 to $100,000.
Casillas was the Joliet driver who crashed into the parked Illinois State Police car of Trooper Brian Frank, leaving him severely injured, on Feb. 15, 2021, along the I-55 corridor near Route 30.
On Friday, Casillas was charged with aggravated reckless driving and violation of Scott's Law. On Tuesday, Casillas was booked into the Will County Jail by members of the Will County Sheriff's Office.

Casillas lives in the 600 block of Jasper Street. The criminal investigation into the Interstate 55 wreck took about 14 months before charges were filed by the Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow.
