Joliet Man's Body Found In Lake Michigan: Report

"There is no suspicion of foul play. There will be no further press releases on this case," announced the Grand Beach/Michiana police chief.

JOLIET, IL — Several news outlets have reported that a man's body found floating in Lake Michigan last week has been identified as 48-year-old Joliet resident Jason Ryno.

Back on Sept. 26, Ryno's body was found around noon in the 4000 block of Lakeshore Drive in the village of Michiana, according to a report from Joliet's news radio station, AM-1340 WJOL.

“The South Bend Police Department Crime Lab was instrumental in helping with this case and were able to use a fingerprint to make a positive ID,” Grand Beach/Michiana Police Chief Ryan Layman said in a press release. “The investigation is ongoing, but there is no suspicion of foul play. There will be no further press releases on this case.”
