Joliet Native Performs in Storytelling Fest

Joliet native Betsey Manzoni, Performs her original work Why Not? in Lifeline Theatre’s 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, running virtually January 21- February 13.

Betsey Manzoni will be one of many solo storytellers at the festival. The description of her work is as follows, “Why not get to know the monster next door?” Joliet residents, you’ll have to tune in to hear her story enfold.

Lifeline’s 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival celebrates the breadth of Chicago’s enduring storytelling and live-lit scene, while supporting performers like Betsey Manzoni. In its new virtual format, Lifeline unites 10 storytelling collectives and 28 solo performers together from all over the country, in a three-week online gallery of powerful, personal stories.

The 2022 Fillet of Solo Festival will stream online via a password-protected website where ticket holders will have access to the full lineup of stories until the Festival concludes. Ticket prices are “Name Your Price” (suggested $45) for access to the gallery for the full three weeks PLUS live virtual extras including panel discussions and storytelling workshops with Festival artists.
