Joliet New Year's Eve: 2018 Events Guide
Plenty of events are scheduled to welcome 2018.

JOLIET, IL — The holidays are almost here and 2017 is coming to a close. Whether you're happy to see this year end or you're just looking forward to 2018, there's no better way to welcome the new year than to gather with friends or family. There's no shortage of places to do just that in Will County and beyond.
Here's a look at some New Year's Eve events slated for the suburbs (and if you're heading to Chicago, check out our NYE guide for the city):
Bolingbrook
MORA Asian Kitchen will ring in the new year with an event at its new Bolingbrook location, featuring delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Tickets are $75 to $90 per person, which includes open bar for select drinks, cash bar on others, live music and a champagne toast at midnight. Starts at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31.

Bolingbrook Golf Club will host a New Year's Eve bash featuring Windy City Dueling Pianos, an appetizer buffet, champagne toast and more from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31. Tickets on sale at the Nest Bar & Grill only through Dec. 29.
Joliet
Mistwood Golf Club will host its 2018 New Year's Eve Gala with a "roaring '20s" theme at the Grand Ballroom at Joliet's Union Station starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 31. Enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing with live DJs, plus a three-course surf and turf dinner, specialty bar sponsored by Tito's vodka and a champagne toast at midnight. $100 per guest ($80 per person for tables of 10).

The Forge Joliet will host a New Year's Eve masquerade ball. Doors open at 8 p.m., featuring live DJs and champagne toast. General admission is $25, packages run from $200 to $500.
Chicago Street Pub will host its Irish New Year's celebration, ringing in the new year on Irish time (6 p.m. our time). Doors open at 2 p.m., reservations required for a table. Live music starts at 4 p.m.
Plainfield
HopScotch & Vine will host a New Year's Eve dinner featuring a four-course meal. Early dining (4:30 to 7 p.m.) is $35 per person, late dining (7:30 to 9:30 p.m.) is $50 per person. Call or email for more information or reservations at 815-230-5609 and hopscotchvine@yahoo.com
Tap House Grill will host events for kids (4 to 6 p.m.) and adults (starting at 10 p.m., $39 per person).
Naperville
Ringin' In The New Year is set for downtown Naperville, with countdowns at the base of the Carillon at Rotary Hill at 6 p.m. and midnight. Countdowns are free, plus guests are invited to enjoy shopping and dining in downtown Naperville.
Light Up The Night New Year's Gala starts at 5 p.m. at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville. Packages start at $289 and go all the way up to $499 per couple for an all-inclusive package including overnight stay. Gala dinner is at 7:30 p.m. including a five-course meal, late-night snacks and more.
DuPage Children's Museum will host the Walk on the Wild Side/Bubble Bash ($20 per person for members, $25 for non-members) from 9 a.m. to noon: "Don a pith hat and make a vest to decorate with stickers as you travel through each station, weave a beautiful collaborative canopy, contribute to the firefly fluorescent sky, build a fort, construct a raft to float down the stream, move to the beat of African drums, let out a roar to the countdown to Noon confetti celebration, and more. No passports are needed for this exotic expedition!"
Romeoville
Iron&Glass will host a NYE celebration from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Free admission plus extended hours to enjoy beer, food and friends.
Stone City Saloon will host a NYE party featuring a DJ, seven-hour open bar, dinner buffet, breakfast buffet, party favors and more. Doors open at 8 p.m., ends at 3 a.m. Tickets $50 in advance.
