Joliet Now Filling Second Trailer For Hurricane Victims
Donations are also being taken at the Inwood Athletic Club and Wedgewood Golf Course.

JOLIET, IL - The city of Joliet is now in the process of filling its second 55-foot trailer next to City Hall, donations that will be delivered to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. The first trailer donated by Cadence Premier Logistics got filled up in less than a week. On Wednesday, several officers for the Joliet Police Department helped load goods and supplies into the second semitrailer.
Joliet City Clerk Christa Desiderio helped coordinate Wednesday's effort. "It's been a steady flow," she said of people bringing donations to downtown City Hall. She was also pleased to see a number of people who lived around Shorewood and Channahon came to Joliet to leave a donation.
"It's good to see everyone coming together," she said.

"I want to personally thank Cadence for once again being a great neighbor and partnering with the city," Mayor Bob O'Dekirk said in a news release. "The people of Joliet have always come together to help other communities in need and I am sure the response will be the same for the people in Texas and Louisiana."
