JOLIET, IL — For six weeks, the Joliet police were keeping an eye out for 32-year-old Horacio Torres. On Tuesday, with the help of a Taser, the officers captured Torres on two charges of domestic battery.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 11:11 a.m. Dec. 26, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Webster Street. Upon their arrival, the officers saw Torres getting in a vehicle.

English said Torres had allegedly struck a woman in the face. An officer approached Torres and ordered him multiple times to exit the vehicle; however, police say Torres ignored the commands and drove away.

When officers attempted to stop him, police say Torres ran toward the rear of his residence.
