JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Park District's Woodruff Golf Course does not get much activity during the winter, but on Thursday morning it was the site of a drunken driving arrest by Joliet Police, reports show. A 50-year-old man from Homer Glen, Adam Kalata, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated by alcohol.
Police say they were called to the golf course property at 11:55 a.m. because several people saw a vehicle "almost causing several crashes by going into oncoming traffic several times." The golf course is right along Gougar Road.
When Joliet Police arrived, officers found Kalata's vehicle in the parking lot of Woodruff, reports show.
