Joliet Police to Host National Night Out Event

The annual event brings together citizens, law enforcement agencies, local officials and local businesses to increase anti-crime awareness.

The Joliet Police Department is once again hosting its annual National Night Out Against Crime celebration and would like to invite the general public to attend. Please join members of the Joliet Police Department from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 4 at Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park, corner of West Jefferson and Bluff Streets in Joliet.

National Night Out is a year-long community building campaign designed to: heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals to let them know that our neighborhoods are organized and are fighting back.
