Joliet Police Locate Dominique Brooks, Missing Joliet Woman

Deputy Chief of Investigators Al Roechner told Patch that officers confirmed Brooks was located.

JOLIET, IL - This week's mystery surrounding a 19-year-old woman who lives in Joliet has a happy ending. Deputy Police Chief of Investigations Al Roechner told Joliet Patch that Dominque Brooks was located. People with ties to Brooks had contacted the Joliet Police Department earlier this week after nobody had seen her since around 4 p.m. Sunday. On Monday night, Joliet police publicized her disappearance through social media. Roechner told Patch that Brooks is no longer considered a missing person.

According to Roechner, the police department received word that Brooks was staying somewhere in Joliet. After that tip, officers needed to do some additional legwork to verify the information, which they did.

"Two patrol officers ran into her. She did nothing wrong. She has been found. She's fine," he said.
