Joliet Runners Compete In Sunday's Chicago Marathon
Joliet's Mark Clarke, 70, turned in a stellar performance, finishing 7th in the 70-74 category.

JOLIET, IL - More than 40,000 runners hit the streets of downtown Chicago on Sunday for the Chicago Marathon and the city of Joliet had several competitors who crossed the finish line. According to our tallies, at least 62 people from Joliet crossed the finish line during the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Here's your look at people from Joliet who participated in Sunday's Chicago Marathon:
Mark Clarke, 70, finished 7th in his age division (70 to 74) with a time of 4:10:30, placing 13,654 overall. Clarke is a member of the Joliet Catholic Academy's business and social studies department and he has been a cross country coach at JCA. - John Prieboy, 28, finished 719th overall with a time of 2:57:55.
- Joseph Sues, 34, finished 2,379 overall with a time of 3:17:07
- Jess Conboy, 37, finished 2,794 overall with a time of 3:20:27.
- Jason Midlock, 33, finished 4,771 overall with a time of 3:33:05
- Felix Lazaro, 23, finished 10,781 overall with a time of 3:59:13.
- Roxanne Ledwa, 33, finished 13,823 overall with a time of 4:11:05.
- Michael Murphy, 38, finished 6,128 overall with a time of 3:40:10
- Regina Vera, 26, finished 17,165 overall with a time of 4:23:57
- Steven Vitanovec, 41, finished 8,859 overall with a time of 3:52:44
- Seth Peyla, 24, finished 4,378 overall with a time of 3:30:57. Peyla is listed as competing from San Francisco, which is where he now works. However, he is a 2011 graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy.
