Joliet Sex Offender Caught in Back Seat of Car With 16-Year-Old Girl: Cops

The sexual predator and the teen met online and exchanged naked pictures before meeting, police said.

The cops caught a predatory sex offender with a 16-year-old girl in the back seat of a car parked on Brier Glen Drive Thursday night, police said.

Timothy Koch, 40, of 2224 Benedict Ave. admitted to officers he met the teen on a website, traded nude cell phone photographs with her, and arranged to meet her about 10 p.m. on New Year’s, police said. The teen also reportedly told police she met Koch online and exchanged naked pictures with him.

Officers reportedly happened upon Koch and the teen after they received a call about a suspicious vehicle parked on Brier Glen. The teen was “deceptive and evasive” when asked for her name and age, police said. Koch had not abused the teen before officers found them, police said.
