JOLIET, IL — The City of Joliet invites the community to celebrate Black History Month with “STAMPED INTO HISTORY!,” a free, three-day theatre series highlighting the historical and cultural contributions of African Americans. Presented February 20-22, at the Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park Theatre, 201 W. Jefferson St., the series features theatre, music, storytelling, dance and inspirational programming designed for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

Created by local producer Larry Crawford of LWCLeads, “STAMPED INTO HISTORY!” uses U.S. postage stamps honoring notable African Americans as a creative lens to explore Black history, artistry and achievement. The production returns to Bicentennial Park Theatre for a fourth consecutive year, following eight years of performances across the region, including appearances at St. Francis University and Lewis University.
