Joliet Walmart Shoplifting Suspect Arrested
Joliet police officers arrested the 34-year-old man on Thursday evening at the West Jefferson Street Walmart store.

JOLIET, IL —A 34-year-old Joliet man who was arrested on felony theft charges at the Walmart store on West Jefferson Street is no longer in the Will County Jail after posting 10 percent of his $3,500 bail.
Joliet police officers responded to the Walmart around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday for a theft incident involving Michael Warfield, police reports show.
"Officers were able to determine that Warfield concealed approximately $218 worth of store merchandise on his person, and then attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise, past the last point of sale," Joliet police reports indicate.

The stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to the employees of Walmart, Joliet police officers noted.
"Warfield was placed into custody without issue and was transported to the Joliet Police Department, where he indicated his involvement," reports indicate.

Warfield, who lives in the 1000 block of Joliet's Plaza Drive, was released from the Will County Jail on Friday night after posting $350 as bond, jail records state.
