Joliet Walmart Worker Arrested At Store: Police
Joliet police arrested the 39-year-old employee at the Walmart on West Jefferson Street on Tuesday morning.

JOLIET, IL — A 39-year-old Joliet man who works at the Walmart store on West Jefferson Street was arrested at his place of work Tuesday morning in connection with felony theft charges. Jeremy Young of the 300 block of Richards Street remains in the Will County Jail awaiting a bail hearing on Wednesday.
Joliet squad cars rolled up to the Walmart in the 2500 block of Jefferson around 6:20 a.m. after learning from store officials about an employee theft incident.
"Officers determined that Young, a Walmart employee, had stolen store merchandise without paying for the items during a recent work shift," Joliet police reports show. "Young had been observed removing an item from its original packaging and placing it into his vehicle in the parking lot."

Additionally, Young concealed another item from the Walmart store underneath his clothes, police said. The Walmart loss prevention team determined that Young did not pay for either item of merchandise, reports show.
Joliet police took Young away in handcuffs and delivered him to the Will County Jail where he was booked into custody around 8 a.m.
