Joliet West High School NHS Holds Tiny Tigers Community Fun Fair, Raises Over 5K for Children in Need

The proceeds were donated to the Wish Upon a Star Foundation and the Pheland-McDermitt Foundation.

Joliet West High School National Honors Society hosted the Tiny Tigers Fun Fair on Sunday, April 10 to raise money for children in need while holding a family friendly event with interactive fun-filled activities for children of all ages. The event raised over $5,000 to be donated to the Wish Upon a Star Foundation and the Pheland-McDermitt Foundation, which was chosen by honoree Brooke Melnick.

The National Honors Society planned a variety of activities including a “Kid Zone” with games a bounce house, dunk tank, and face-painting. To raise additional funds the students organized a silent auction and a variety of raffles, which included donations from numerous local businesses such as Coldstone Creamery, Splash Station, and Home Cut Donuts.
