Joliet West Speech Team students qualify for State Competition

The Joliet West Speech Team has qualified for two individual events in the 2019 IHSA State Finals this weekend in Peoria, Illinois

The Joliet West Speech Team has qualified for two individual events in the 2019 IHSA State Finals this weekend in Peoria, Illinois. At the Sectionals Competition, Senior Tony Nardi won second place in Dramatic Interpretation, and Senior Morgan Beene won second place in Special Occasion Speaking, earning a coveted and prestigious spot at State. The team is coached by Kristin Blake.

Blake said, “These two have worked very hard to achieve this dream, and it was a true joy to see it happen for them.”

This is the third year in a row that the Joliet West Speech Team has advanced to State. JTHS congratulates Tony Nardi and Morgan Beene on their success and cheers them on as they proceed to the IHSA State Finals.
