Joliet Woman Choked On Ottawa Street, Arrest Made: JPD
Joliet police booked Derrick Bradford, 34, into the Will County Jail on felony charges of aggravated domestic battery.

JOLIET, IL — A 34-year-old man from Bourbonnais is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Derrick Bradford attacked and choked a woman he knows over the weekend in the city's downtown area.
Bradford was brought to the Will County Jail, where he remained on Monday awaiting his bail hearing. Bradford's being charged with aggravated domestic battery.
Sunday's arrest happened around 12:40 a.m. in the 300 block of North Ottawa Street. Joliet police were sent there on a disturbance call.

Joliet police say Bradford attacked the woman and "further investigation determined that Bradford had choked the victim, making it difficult for her to breathe. Bradford was on the scene and was placed into custody without incident."
