Joliet Woman Shot 4 Times While Asleep in Bed With Boyfriend
The woman was expected to survive the early morning attack.

A Joliet woman was shot four times as she slept in bed with her boyfriend early Friday.
The 28-year-old told police she was asleep in her Fairmont Avenue home when bullets shattered her front window and hit her in the back, hip and forearm about 3 a.m.
The woman’s 24-year-old boyfriend emerged from the attack unscathed.

Police searched the area but did not find any trace of the gunman.
The woman was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and was expected to survive.
