Joliet Woman Who Vanished In 2019 Attacks 70-Year-Old Man: JPD
Joliet Patch published several stories three summers ago on the disappearance of Jasmine Morrow. Now, she faces aggravated battery charges.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet woman who vanished without a trace during the 2019 summer, prompting friends, family and concerned residents to hold prayer vigils for her, is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Jasmine Morrow attacked a 70-year-old this past weekend.
Officers hauled Morrow in handcuffs after responding to the Murphy Building, which is managed by the Joliet Housing Authority. Morrow was brought to the Will County Jail where she's charged with committing aggravated battery to a senior citizen and criminal trespass to state supported property.
Around 8:35 p.m. Saturday, Joliet squad cars were sent to 311 North Ottawa Street, also known as the Riverside Center Apartments, in reference to an attack.

"Morrow and the victim were engaged in an argument in front of the building, at which time Morrow grabbed the victim’s groin area and attempted to strike him with a glass bottle but was unsuccessful," Joliet police reports show. "The victim was uninjured. Morrow was still on the scene and was placed into custody without incident."
A Will County judge has set bail at $10,000 for Morrow, and she remained in detention, unable to post her bond on Monday night.

In late August 2019, Joliet Patch published an article headlined:Jasmine Morrow Found In Chicago, Joliet Police Announce. Patch reported at the time that for nearly two months, people around Joliet feared something awful happened to 33-year-old Jasmine Morrow. The Joliet woman vanished without a trace on July 2. Her family held a prayer vigil for her a week later. Then on Wednesday night, Joliet Police issued a statement thanking the Chicago Police Department for finding her. Jasmine Morrow is safe and sound, according to the police.
Jasmine Morrow, Joliet police noted, "had been safely located in Chicago by the Chicago Police Department. The Joliet Police Department wants to thank everyone who assisted in the search of Jasmine."
