Joliet Woman's Fight Lasts For 2 Hours Inside Her House, Male Victim Left All Bloodied Up: Sheriff's

JOLIET, IL — For the second time in six years, Joliet's Catherine Van Driska was booked into the Will County Jail. Her latest detention happened as a result of a two-hour fight inside her residence, a fight that needed a hospital trip for her male victim, authorities revealed.

According to Will County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Elizabeth Matthews, at 12:33 p.m. on Thursday, the sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 600 block of Blackhawk in Joliet for reports of a domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, she said the deputies spoke with Catherine Van Driska, who appeared to be intoxicated, and she stated she and a man were fighting, both verbally and physically.

The victim told deputies the fight had lasted two hours. The victim was found lying in a bed with spots of blood near his head and foot, Matthews noted.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out, only suffering minor injuries.

Van Driska was arrested for domestic battery and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. Jail records show that she got out around supper time on Friday, Sept. 11.
