Joliet's Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Hours Set

Residents can also visit the city's website to download a sign letting children know their house is not participating in trick-or-treating.

JOLIET, IL — Sunday marks Halloween and this year's trick-or-treat hours across the city of Joliet will be from 4 to 7 p.m.

City officials also want residents to know that if they are not giving out Halloween candy to children, residents can download a sign to put in their window, alerting kids that their house is not participating in trick-or-treating Sunday.

Joliet's officials also posted the following Halloween reminders on social media:

  • Children should not cross the street between parked cars.
  • Children should carry a flashlight or glow stick.
  • Children should be aware of vehicles that may be turning into driveways or backing out.
  • Parents are reminded to know the trick-or-treating route of their children.
  • Parents are asked to make sure that trick-or-treaters have safe access to your home by removing any lawn decorations and sprinklers, toys or bicycles.
  • Parents should keep their outside entrance well-lit and keep their family pets away from the trick-or-treaters.
