JPD: Man With Cocaine Arrested At Speedway Gas Station
This New Lenox man was arrested by Joliet Police officers.

JOLIET, IL - On Monday morning, Joliet Police arrested a 33-year-old New Lenox man, John Sterba, on charges of possessing a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. The arrest happened at the Speedway gas station in the 1600 block of West Jefferson Street.
Around 7:50 a.m. officers were called to the Speedway in regard to a crash. "Officers observed one of the drivers, Sterba, had drug equipment in plain view inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located several baggies of cocaine. Sterba was arrested for the above offenses," police said.
Sterba, who lives in the 700 block of Prairie Road in New Lenox, was taken to the Will County Jail. He was slated to appear before a Will County judge for a bail hearing on Tuesday afternoon. Sterba also spent time in Will County's Jail in 2011 and 2012, jail logs show.

His bail was later set at $10,000, meaning he needs to come up with $1,000 to post as bond.
