JWHS Group Interpretation Team Earns Superior Recognition at SWSC Contest Play and Group Interpretation Conference

JWHS All-Conference performers: Abasi Kelley, Madison Schlegel, Katie Robertson, Jessica Newby, and Grace Meagher.

The Joliet West High School Group Interpretation team received Superior recognition at the SWSC Contest Play and Group Interpretation Conference. Out of eleven Group Interpretation performances, Joliet West received one of only two Superior awards. As a whole, the group received straight Superior rankings from all judges.

At the event, five JWHS All-Conference performers received recognition, including Abasi Kelley, Madison Schlegel, Katie Robertson, Jessica Newby, and Grace Meagher.

“West GI performed ‘Maleficent,’ the untold story of the ‘villain’ from Sleeping Beauty that makes you reconsider everything you once knew about the classic fairytale,” said Director of Group Interpretation Kristin Blake.
