The Joliet West Junior Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team finished first this season in the Southwest Suburban Conference, which includes teams from 16 area high schools.
Scholastic Bowl events involve five-player teams that compete against other schools by answering academic quiz questions. Topics covered in competitions include math, science, history, art, literature, and entertainment.

The Joliet West team is coached by Ken Poort and JWHS Scholastic Bowl Team members are: Evan Duda, Janelle Suriaga, Katie Turek, Tony Conde, Sam Mallaney, Nick Policandriotes, Adrian Ruiz, Clayton Pelzer, Anna Rogalski, and Eric Small.
