JOLIET, IL — Three months after Johnny made the announcement that he would be bringing Joliet's east side its very first Kafe De Kasa coffee house, his new storefront is ready to open. Friday morning will mark the soft opening of Kafe De Kasa No. 2.

It will be at 3 Ohio Street, it's in a building directly across the street from Niko's Pizzeria. For Friday, it will be cash only, Johnny said.

He hopes to accept credit card and other forms of payment starting Saturday.

The store hours for 3 Ohio St. will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekends.

Johnny told Patch he wanted to open the second location, here in Joliet, because so many of his customers are from the east side of the city.

His new location puts him on the northern edge of downtown Joliet.

"We didn't forget our roots. Joliet, we're back," he informed Joliet Patch.

Kafe de Kasa will continue to keep its main coffeehouse opening. That one is on Plainfield Road in Crest Hill on the way toward the Louis Joliet Mall area.
