Kangaroo Laundromat Violence Leads To Arrest 2 Months Later: JPD
Jathziri Cruz, 24, of Joliet returned to the scene, kicking an unoccupied vehicle and breaking a glass bottle against it, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 24-year-old Joliet woman who spent more than two months hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation is now in the custody of the Will County Jail facing felony charges of aggravated battery and criminal property damage following an incident of violence this summer at the Blue Kangaroo Laundromat.
On Tuesday, Joliet police drove Jathziri Cruz to the county jail, where she's been booked into custody and given a $20,000 bail.
Back on July 8, around 11:55 a.m., Joliet police were sent to a disturbance at the east side laundromat on East Cass Street where Cruz was pounding on the business's windows and using foul language toward employees, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English noted.

When officers asked Cruz to leave the property, she initially complied, only to return to the parking lot a short time later, damaging someone's unoccupied car by kicking it and breaking a glass bottle against the vehicle, English stated.
"Cruz was detained, at which time she spit on officers," English said.

At that time, a Joliet Fire Department ambulance was called to bring Cruz to the Ascension St Joseph Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation.
On Sept. 20, Joliet police got an arrest warrant for Cruz and around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, she was released from St. Joe's hospital and taken into custody without any problems, Joliet police said.
On Thursday, she remained in custody, unable to post the necessary 10 percent bond.
