Kidz Fest in Downtown Joliet This Weekend: Free Event Saturday

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet City Center Partnership is hosting the 19th annual Kidz Fest in Downtown Joliet presented by Old National Bank. This free event kicks off at 10 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 5.

“Kidz Fest continues to shine a light on our family-friendly businesses in the downtown and the entirety of Joliet,” said Priscilla Cordero, Executive Director of the City Center Partnership. “This event provides free interactive and fun activities for children while also promoting all that Downtown has to offer.”

Activities are free and include pony rides, a petting zoo, magic shows, face painting, inflatables, a roller rink and more. Food and beverages will be available for sale at the event and at downtown restaurants.

Old National Bank is the presenting sponsor and will have a booth located near the roller rink. Other sponsors include D’Arcy Buick GMC, Lewis University, Xfinity, Ascension Saint Joseph, Haunted Trails Joliet, Joliet Bank and Trust, and Midland States Bank. Over 40 other vendors will be on site providing interactive activities for children.

Children in kindergarten through sixth grade who live within Joliet city limits and attend a school within Joliet city limits will also have an opportunity to win a ride to school in a fire truck. Parents may visit the Joliet City Center Partnership Info Booth on the day of the event to fill out a free entry form.

Kidz Fest is one of many downtown events produced by the Joliet City Center Partnership in order to provide an opportunity to showcase and promote downtown businesses and boost community pride among Joliet residents and visitors.
