Knife Incident Lands Wilcox Street Resident in Will Co. Jail: Police

The 48-year-old Arlaine Richards was arrested Joliet police this week on charges of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

JOLIET, IL — A 48-year-old Joliet man remains in the Will County Jail, unable to post his $30,000 bail, following Tuesday night's arrest by Joliet police in connection with an incident of violence. Arlanine Richards, of the 500 block of Wilcox Street on the city's west side, has been charged with aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.

According to his criminal complaint, Richards caused harm to another man when he used a deadly weapon, a knife, "in that said defendant struck" (the victim) "about the body with a knife."

The second charge states that Richards knowingly damaged property, namely a gray Lexus of another person, "and the damage to property did not exceed $500."
