Frozen Pizza Packs At Linda's Westside: 'We Have No Plans to Stop It'

With one east side location and one on the west side, Linda's Pizza has been part of Joliet since 1981.

Starting in August, Joliet's Linda's Pizza Westside, at 723 Taylor S., began selling packs of frozen pizzas. All orders are ready in 48 hours, noted Jon Berman, the owner's son.

JOLIET, IL — One of Joliet's most beloved carryout pizza restaurants, Linda's Pizza, is off to a great start with its new offering of selling take home frozen pizzas by the pack. Jon Berman, son of Mark Berman, said they began selling frozen pizza packs more than a month ago.

"We've been pretty steady. We've had multiple repeat customers, so it seems people are enjoying them," Jon Berman told Joliet Patch during Thursday's interview at 723 Taylor St.

Linda's frozen pizzas are only available at their west side location, the one at the corner of Taylor Street and Raynor Avenue near the University of St. Francis.

Customers are encouraged to place their frozen pizza order by email, Berman said. The email address to place orders is lindaspizza1981@gmail.com. Customers are asked to include their name, order and phone number when placing an email order.

Otherwise, people can call to place their frozen pizza orders. The Linda's Pizza West Side phone number is 815-726-4425.

All frozen pizzas are 12 inches and customers pay $1 more per topping, per pizza. Linda's is offering the three packs for $28.99, four packs for $36.99, five packs for $44.99 and six frozen pizzas for $52.99.

Customized pizza topping orders are encouraged, Berman said.

Some of their combination suggestions include:

Bacon and Jalapeño, spinach and mushroom, pineapple and jalapeño plus BBQ sauce, chicken and bacon.

"You can completely customize, and they are all made fresh, so they're made within 48 hours of you picking them up," Berman said. "Customize it however you want. I do think that the basic sausage and pepperoni is really good."

Berman said that since unveiling the frozen pizza packs, a handful of Joliet bars are now carrying the frozen Linda's Pizza, such as the Croatian Club on Clement Street and Saloon 2 in the Ingalls Park area of Joliet, on East Washington Street.

Berman said the plans are to continue carrying the frozen pizzas at their west side location, not at the Linda's Pizza East Side.

If the owners decide to start selling their frozen pizzas at their east side location, Linda's will share that information on social media, Berman said.

"We'll announce on Facebook if that eventually happens," he remarked.

Linda's Pizza has been a Joliet fixture since 1981.

Berman said the concept of introducing the frozen pizza packs was in the works for years, after discussing the idea with a friend who lives in New Orleans.

The Linda's frozen pizza menu is not a limited time concept, the owner's son emphasized.

"We have no plans to stop it in the foreseeable future," Berman said Thursday.

One last thing: To enjoy a crispier crust, Berman urges customers who purchase the frozen pizzas to put them in the middle of your oven rack.
