Little Crash Creates Big Traffic Jam At Jefferson Street Bridge

Traffic heading into downtown Joliet along Jefferson Street was backed up several blocks over Tuesday's noon hour.

JOLIET, IL — A semi-trailer appeared to cause minor damage to a car heading over the Jefferson Street Bridge near Joliet's City Hall, but the incident has caused a traffic back up for hundreds of other motorists trying to reach downtown Joliet over Tuesday's noon hour.

Joliet police officer John Perri was on the scene interviewing the semi-driver and a woman who was driving the small car that the semi clipped.
