Loaded Gun At Victory Senior Center: JPD
Kristen Anderson, 54, was hauled away in handcuffs Saturday night at the Victory Center, the old Joliet Catholic High School from years ago.

JOLIET, IL — Kristen Anderson, a 54-year-old woman at the Victory Senior Center on North Broadway Street, was arrested last weekend after Joliet police say she pulled a loaded gun from inside her purse and pointed it at another tenant.
Anderson is now in the Will County Jail facing charges of aggravated assault with a gun, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and an outstanding Will County arrest warrant.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Anderson's detention:

- Around 6:25 p.m. Saturday, Joliet police went to the Victory Senior Center at 31 N. Broadway St., the old Joliet Catholic High School campus, for a report of a woman with a gun inside an apartment.
- Officers determined that Anderson was intoxicated and pointed a handgun at the female victim in another of the apartment units.
- Anderson left before the police officers arrived.
- The officers completed an extensive search of the building, and they found Anderson in another apartment.
- Officers recovered a loaded .32 caliber handgun from Anderson's purse.
- Anderson also held an active Will County arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on previous aggravated assault charges.
- Bail for Anderson was set at $20,000. She remains in custody, unable to post the $2,000 cash to regain her freedom, according to jail logs.
- Court records listed Anderson as living in the 4500 block of Florence Avenue.
