Man Fatally Shot In Joliet Lived In Lockport
The victim was pronounced dead at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

JOLIET, IL - A 34-year-old Lockport man was murdered late Friday night. The Will County Coroner's Office reported a preliminary autopsy was performed on Saturday afternoon for homicide victim was Miles Stallings. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 800 block of Robin Lane in Joliet near Fairmont Avenue, an area of Joliet commonly known as "The Hill." Deputy Joliet Police Chief Al Roechner told Joliet Patch on Saturday night that police received a 911 call shortly before 10:30 p.m. Friday.
At the public housing complex, Roechner said, officers found Stallings on a front porch, bleeding profusely and unconscious. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance rushed him to rushed to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 p.m. The Joliet Police Department is currently probing the latest city homicide and no arrests have been made, Roechner said.
A lot of people were apparently outside in the neighborhood around the time of the shooting, but so far, Joliet police have been unable to find any eyewitnesses to the shooting, Roechner said. At this point, he does not have any suspect description or information about a getaway vehicle or motive for the homicide.

He did say that Joliet homicide detectives are working diligently over the weekend and will continue to do so again on Sunday in hopes of finding the person responsible for killing Stallings.
"We need help, so if anybody has information, please call us," Roechner told Patch on Saturday night.

Stallings' death marks the city's third straight week with a slaying.
During the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 7, Anthony McGee, 22, Gabriella Rueda, 22, and Manny Hernandez, 22, all died of multiple gunshot wounds to the head when they were slain inside the McGee family home on Great Falls Drive in the Cumberland subdivision off County Line Road. And Monday, August 28, Celisa Henning, 41, fatally shot her twin 5-year-old daughters, Addison and Makayla and then took her own life in a murder-suicide inside the Henning family home on Reed Street.
