Lowe's New Lenox Faces Slip And Fall Lawsuit

Matthew Stevens hired a law firm to sue the giant home improvement store.

NEW LENOX, IL - One man who visited the Lowe's Home Improvement store in New Lenox more than a year ago has retained a Chicago law firm to sue the giant retail chain. Matthew Stevens recently filed a Will County civil suit against the Lowe's, located in the 2400 block of East Lincoln Highway. Stevens is being represented by Chicago attorney Shannon McNulty of the Clifford Law Offices on North LaSalle Street.

Stevens patronized the Lowe's on Jan. 13, 2017, according to his lawsuit. It alleges that Stevens "was walking on the aforesaid passageway as a means of ingress to Lowe's, when he was caused to fall and be injured by the ... dangerous condition created by the unnatural accumulation of water, ice and snow upon the uneven surface area ..."

Stevens is demanding that Lowe's pay him in excess of $50,000 in monetary damages for his slip and fall on their property.
