Magic Mushrooms On Floorboard, 4 Guns Found After Wreck: Joliet PD
Roberto Aleman, 33, possessed a valid concealed carry license and there were weapons in his wrecked car, Joliet police noted.

JOLIET, IL — In one of the strangest felony arrests made by Joliet's Police Department in quite some time, officers say they discovered four guns, psychedelic mushrooms and all kinds of pills inside the damaged car of 33-year-old Joliet motorist Roberto Aleman after he had a head-on collision along Oneida Street on Monday morning, the arrest reports show
Aleman was taken to the Joliet police station and later released on his notice to appear on six counts of possession of cannabis by a driver plus one count of possession of marijuana by the driver.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the incident happened around 8:35 a.m. near Oneida and Hammes Avenue.

A Subaru WRX driven by Aleman was eastbound on Oneida Street approaching North Hammes Avenue when he veered left into the oncoming lane of traffic and struck the driver side of a Ford Fusion driven by a 66-year-old Crest Hill woman as she drove westbound on Oneida Street, English said.
No injuries were reported from the crash.

During the crash investigation, officers learned that Aleman possessed a valid concealed carry license and Aleman provided consent for officers to enter his vehicle to render his weapons safe
While looking for Aleman's weapons, Joliet police saw Aleman's suspected psilocybin mushrooms on the floorboard, according to English.
Aleman was then placed into custody without incident.
Upon further search of the vehicle, Joliet police say they recovered suspected cannabis, MDMA and alprazolam, etizolam, adderall and tapentadol pills.
English said officers found four handguns in the vehicle and the guns were recovered for safe keeping since Aleman’s vehicle was going to be towed from the scene.
Aleman also received citations for too fast for conditions and improper lane usage.
