Young Man Found Dead At Crest Hill Inn

At least a dozen area police vehicles converged upon the Crest Hill Inn along Plainfield Road on Friday afternoon.

CREST HILL, IL — A 30-year-old who suffered injuries to his body was found dead Friday morning at the Crest Hill Inn on Plainfield Road, the Crest Hill Police Department announced.

When police were called to the motel around 9 a.m., they discovered the man was dead and he showed signs of being injured, Crest Hill's Police Chief Ed Clark stated.

Police secured the scene and did several interviews on Friday. The Will-Grundy Major Crimes Task Force is helping with the investigation.

During the day, more than a dozen area police officers from Crest Hill, the Will County Sheriff's Office and Coal City collected evidence as they worked behind the yellow crime scene tape stretched in front of the Crest Hill Inn on Plainfield Road on Friday afternoon.

The Crest Hill Inn is located at 2109 Plainfield Road, which is along Route 30.
