25-Year-Old Joliet Man Killed After Stepping in Front of Semi
He was pronounced dead late Wednesday night.
JOLIET, IL — A 25-year-old Joliet man was struck and killed by a semi tractor trailer late Wednesday evening.
At around 9:20 p.m., a 2011 Kenworth Tractor semi was traveling on I-80 eastbound in the right lane just west of Wheeler Road when Aaron A. Wiley, who was standing on the right shoulder stepped in front of it, according to the Illinois State Police.
The man was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. Nov. 9, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy was performed Nov. 10. The Illinois State Police is investigating.
