Mall Loop Drive Hotel Guest Punches Joliet Officer In Face: Cops
Around 3:35 a.m., Joliet officers went to the Hampton Inn, 3555 Mall Loop Drive, for a disturbance caused by Daynah Whitehead, police said.

JOLIET, IL —Joliet police say a 19-year-old intoxicated woman was arrested early Sunday morning at the Hampton Inn on Mall Loop Drive after she punched a Joliet police officer in her face and then spit on the officer.
The incident happened around 3:45 a.m.
Now, Daynah Whitehead remains in the Will County Jail where she's charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, obstructing/resisting a peace officer and criminal trespass.

Joliet police were called to the Hampton Inn because Whitehead was intoxicated and causing problems for other guests, police reports show.
"Officers encountered Whitehead in a guest room, at which time Whitehead struck an officer in the face," police spokesman Dwayne English announced.

After Whitehead spit on the police officer, she then struggled with other officers who took her into custody after a struggle, police said.
A Joliet Fire Department ambulance was called due to the level of Whitehead’s intoxication, and she was taken to AMITA St. Joe's hospital, police said.
Whitehead was released from the hospital later in the morning and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
Whitehead was booked into the jail around 11 a.m. She lives in the 1900 block of Carriage Lane, jail logs show.
