Man, 84, Dies In Will County Plane Crash
The plane crash occurred Monday afternoon in the Beecher area.
BEECHER, IL — The Will County Coroner's Office announced the death of an 84-year-old man from Crete who crashed his plane around 12:35 p.m. Monday. The pilot was identified as John E. Van Kalker. He was driving a single engine aircraft that crashed about a quarter mile south of the 2000 block of West Offner Road in Beecher.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the Will County Sheriff's Office are investigating the fatal crash.
