Man Dies In Stabbing, Joliet Police Investigating
The victim was a 43-year-old Joliet man.

JOLIET, IL - A 43-year-old Joliet man died over the weekend after a stabbing, authorities have said. The victim has been identified as Edward Summers, and Joliet Police Department are investigating his death as a homicide.
Joliet Police say they were notified about a single-vehicle crash in neighboring Rockdale around 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. The victim, Summers, was taken to the St. Joe's hospital where authorities learned he had been stabbed once in the chest prior to the crash.
"The victim unfortunately had succumbed to his injuries," Joliet Police announced on Monday. "Officers were able to determine that the victim was involved in a domestic dispute in the 1100 (block) of Parkwood sometime prior to the crash. A female was questioned by detectives in reference to the incident."

So far, no arrests have been made. Court records indicate that Summers lived in the apartment units in the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive on Joliet's east side.
