Man Found Dead At Foot Of 5-Story Downtown Parking Deck Killed By 'Fall From Heights': Coroner

A 23-year-old man found at the foot of the downtown Ottawa Street parking deck was killed by a “fall from heights,” an autopsy revealed.

Police have not released what they know about how the young man plunged down from the five-story parking deck. Officials continued to withhold the dead man’s name while his next-of-kin were sought.

The man was brought from where he was found on Ottawa Street to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday.

An autopsy conducted Saturday showed the man’s death was caused by multiple injuries consistent with a long fall.
