"Walker was involved in a verbal altercation with his neighbors and was walking towards them in an aggressive manner," police reports show.
When officers tried to intervene and resolve the matter, Walker ran toward his house and pushed one of the officers, reports reflect.
"During the struggle, Walker placed the officer in a headlock. An arriving officer on scene then deployed a Taser on Walker and he was placed into custody without further incident," police said.
A Joliet Fire Department ambulance brought Walker to the AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center to treat the Joliet man for the injuries he suffered during his struggle with Joliet police.
"While being treated at the hospital, Walker bit the hand of an emergency room doctor, causing serious injury," Joliet police noted. "Walker was released from the hospital a short time later."
Upon his release from the hospital, Walker refused to step inside the Joliet police car that would deliver him to the downtown station for booking procedures, police said.
"While Walker was still on a hospital gurney, he bit the leg of an officer, causing minor injury. Walker was then transported to the Will County Jail after refusing to cooperate with booking procedures at the Joliet Police Department," according to police.
Jail logs indicate that Walker's bail was set at a steep $250,000.
