Man Robbed of $2,500 Cash After Party at Joliet Motel 6

Three gunmen followed the man from the party to his own motel room.

A man partying at a Joliet Motel 6 was robbed at gunpoint of $2,500 Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old man left the party, which was held in a room of the 1850 McDonough St. motel, and headed for his own room about 9:45 p.m.

Three other men from the party—all wearing black hooded sweatshirts—followed the man to his room. The partygoer recognized one of the three and knew him by his street name, police said, so he let them into his room.
