Manhattan Transfer Coming To Rialto Theater In March

Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 15 for $59, $43.50 and $29 (though additional fees may apply).

JOLIET, IL - The Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet continues to add more musical acts to its early 2018 events calendar, booking The Manhattan Transfer for a show here on Wednesday, March 14. The band offers more than 40 years of jazz history. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. mid-week concert will go on sale in three days, Friday, December 15. Tickets are priced at $59, $43.50 and $29.

"The Manhattan Transfer created a unique jazz sound through its blend of acapella, vocalese, swing, standards, Brazilian jazz, rhythmic and blues and pop! After going through many musical and band member changes throughout the band’s storied musical history, the newest iteration of the band will play the Rialto Square Theatre as part of its most current national tour," Rialto's marketing staff announced.

According to the Rialto, the band's original founder, the late Tim Hauser, spent his life developing the sweet unique sounds, that live on today even after his death.

"The release of The Definitive Pop Collection, a 2-disc retrospective of the groups greatest hits takes a look back at some of the greatest musical bodies of work ever created. The March 14 show at Rialto Square Theatre will a fun blend and new and old music that all fans will enjoy!"
