Mary Teresa DePratt

Was surrounded by family when she passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 94.

Born in Lockport on December 15, 1929 she lived a simple but fulfilling life. She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary was strong in her faith and was a parishioner of the Church of St. Jude.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Malone, 11 siblings, and her loving husband of 66 years, Donald DePratt, Sr.

She is survived by her 3 children: Donald J. (Sonja) Jr., Timothy P. (Catherine), and Jacqueline T. D’Arcy. She was blessed to be the proud grandmother to: Cliffton, Cortnie, Collin, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Lauren, and Lucas. Her blessings and legacy continued with her 13 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Carlson Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home (2320 Black Road, Joliet) with prayers to commence at 12:00 P.M. Mary will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, with her husband Donald, at a later date.
