Mills Road Shooting Solved By Joliet Police As Woods Gets Arrested On Class X Felony Crimes
Joliet detectives developed evidence implicating Keenen Woods in the May 15 shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Mills Road.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department has solved a recent shooting on the city's east side, capturing 24-year-old Keenen Woods of Joliet and booking him into the Will County Jail on three crimes of unlawful possession of a gun by a repeat felon, three crimes of unlawful possession of a weapon and one crime of obstruction of justice.
According to Joliet police spokesman Tizoc Landeros, last week, the detectives developed evidence implicating Woods in the May 15 shooting that occurred n the 600 block of Mills Road.
"Detectives were able to identify Woods as one of the occupants of the sedan involved in the incident. They also developed evidence indicating that Woods possessed several firearms during the incident and attempted to discard and conceal the weapons," Landeros announced.

Woods was also on parole for weapons offenses out of Will and Cook Counties, Landeros pointed out.
On May 22, Woods was taken into custody on the arrest warrant and transported to the Joliet Police Department. Woods was interviewed by detectives, processed, and subsequently transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

The jail logs list Woods as residing in the 5400 block of Nancy Court, over in the Plainfield area.
